I can't wait to forget about all of this and all of you.
I'll add more later.
[Later]
I suppose I don't really mean that. Ever have those days where you just want to get away from everyone and everything? I'm sure everyone has them. I've had a lot of them lately. Wish it was simple to just go and start over somewhere. What I don't like about feeling this way is that I can't really put my finger on the reason why. I feel like maybe I just need a big trip. I like to get away because when you're off somewhere, far enough away, you can't sit and worry about all the things you need to do because there is nothing you can do about it. I love that feeling when you can finally just think about "the now". When I am in my daily routine I'm always thinking of what is next and it is extremely hard for me to turn that off. I think it would be nice if I could try to work on this, I'm just not quite sure how to.
you want to be old and forgetful so you can meet the same people over and over, or you are ready to move on with your life and be done blogging? i am interested to know what you mean and to see the more you will be adding.
ReplyDeleteThere are two ways of accomplishing what you are looking for in my opinion. The first is to go on a big trip as you already mentioned. The other way I have found of getting results similar to what I believe you are looking for is to change up your daily routine. I am not saying that you have to do anything completely crazy or out of order, but something small yet meaningful. Try to accomplish one new thing a week whether it is reading a new book or building a car or anything in between. The sense of accomplishment in completing a new task may be just the boost you need to keep out of a rut. You could make an effort to talk to someone you have not heard from in a while or try to get a new hobby or learn something new. Learn to dance; if you already know how to dance learn a new style of dancing. Or even try to find a new way of doing something that is already part of your routine. Maybe drive a new way to work, or try a new recipe for a favorite food of yours.
ReplyDeleteWhile I am a fan of the second idea, I would have to say that it is difficult to accommodate new things into your life if you are busy. If that is the case, then planning ahead for a big trip may be just what the doctor ordered. I hope this helps you figure things out. :)
